During the investigation into Warrior Pointe's finances, we have found that proper documentation of where funds were sent did not occur. There are transfers out of the organization's bank account and PayPal that have no notes on why they were made. The current leadership is working to find who these funds were sent to/why but at this time some of these transfers are leading to dead ends. We apologize for how long this is taking, things continue to come to light during every phase of the investigation that creates more questions than answers. We hope to provide as many answers as possible in the future.

During our investigation, the staff of Warrior Pointe has found that paperwork establishing the organization was filed improperly in multiple jurisdictions and with some information that was either false or misleading. This information includes names and addresses of “board members” who either was never on the board or did not live at the addresses listed on the paperwork. Some of the “board members" listed on the paperwork have not been affiliated with the organization in years and did not know they were listed on the board of directors paperwork. At this time, we are working our hardest to determine how this information will impact any and all future proceedings of the organization. We will provide further updates as more information becomes available.

During our internal investigation, the Warrior Pointe staff has found that taxes for the organization have not been filed since 2018. This means the nonprofit is subject to penalties from the federal government that could be anywhere between $1,200 and $20,000. California can also fine, the organization at least $1,600. What this means is: we can no longer function in our capacity to serve veterans. These fines would take money away from why it was donated to us. Taxes not being filed was a failure of past leadership and a fatal blow to our mission. The organization will continue to not accept donations for any reason. We will provide further updates at a later time.
